McG Talks Deleted Scenes and Alternate Ending!

Well T4 is yet to be released to the world but there's already talk of deleted scenes and an alternative ending for the DVD! Collider.com have spoken to T4 director McG and he's confirmed that there will be likely 30 to 40 minutes of deleted footage for us to drool over! Not to mention an alternative ending, there is a Moon Bloodgood topless scene!

McG revealed the details of the alternative ending. And while the film's current ending is not even close to the one described, some might consider the following a spoiler, so you have been warned!

“We had a jet-black ending. Connor dies, we're in a room with all the people we care about. You take Connor's likeness, you put it on the living machine of Marcus. He sits up, now looking like Christian Bale, takes a gun, kills Kate, kills Kyle, kills Star, kills everybody, eyes flare red, [snaps] the end.”

Now THAT is one hell of a cliffhanger of an ending! Whilst I expressed no interest in it at all some months ago, I have to admit now that it would be cool to see. Albeit, I don't know what the theatrical ending to the movie is, so I can't judge if it would have been better to have that. Even though it would go against everything that the Terminator franchise has fought for so far, it would have been extremely interesting to see what they would have followed that up with.

Screenwriter Michael Ferris has also confirmed that the ending which leaked onto the internet during production was actually real. We knew it!! For those of you aren't aware of what that ending was, it involved Marcus taking over as John Connor (skin and all) after the resistance leader dies in action. Ferris says the screenplay ended with “everybody, except the inner circle” unaware that John Connor is now a Terminator, and the mechanical Connor going on “to lead the resistance” in the war against the machines.
