Arnold was in Switzerland on Tuesday for the 2009 Geneva Motor Show continuing his technology tour of Europe.
A surprise visitor, Schwarzenegger was shown round the various stands including VW, Audi and Bentley where he sat in the new Bentley Continental Superspeed.
Schwarzenegger is a keen promoter of green technologies and the Superspeed, despite being the fastest-ever Bentley, can be run on biofuels.
Examining both new and classic car models, Arnold was accompanied on a showroom tour by German executives such as Volkswagen's development chief, and took a turn inside VW's new Polo compact.
It was a Morgan 4/4 from 1939 that really caught his eye, however. "This uses very little gas. Super," he joked while admiring the green, two-seat convertible.
Widening his gaze across a set of old race cars, and switching from German to English, he added: "Look at these cars."
The Governor also stopped to look at a Land Rover jeep and some other sports-utility vehicles. Many at the show were promoting new green technologies to lower carbon dioxide emissions and fuel costs -- issues Schwarzenegger has championed in California.
He also visited Ford's section of the showroom, which included the subcompact Fiesta that the company plans to bring to North America from Europe in the coming years.
