T4 Moves to MGM?

The latest hype surrounding "T4" is that it will no longer be distributed by Warner Bros., but MGM!

Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures, who own the franchise rights to The Terminator, are said to have confirmed that the Terminator 4 ball will soon be rolling!

Variety
have an article which lists several big follow up projects in the pipeline from MGM:

Over the next few years, MGM is planning to release half a dozen films, some in the $150 million to $200 million-plus range. Studio is ready to unveil such high-profile projects as "Terminator 4"; one or two installments of "The Hobbit," which Sloan hopes will be directed by Peter Jackson; and a sequel to "The Thomas Crown Affair" with Pierce Brosnan.

It has already announced a "Pink Panther" sequel and the next 007 pic "Bond 22," due out in November 2008. "Rocky Balboa" unspools in February.

MoviesOnline.Ca
reported the following:

MGM has today confirmed that Terminator 4 is indeed coming and is slated to begin in 2007. According to an Australian online newspaper Terminator 4 could be shooting down under. Hollywood producer Andy Vajna says Terminator 4 could be shot on the Gold Coast.

"We were thinking about Australia. We have been looking at the Warner Bros Studios down there but it is early days," Vajna told AAP from the set of his current film, Children of Glory, in Hungary.

Recently in an interview promoting Sin City, Nick Stahl talked about T4 and his and Danes "none involvement". Here's what he had to say: "I'm not going to be in T4," Stahl said in an interview while promoting his latest film, the upcoming Sin City. "None of the cast is coming back." Stahl said that the producers' current plans may not even include original Terminator star Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is now the governor of California.

Stahl added: "The [T4] story is changing conceptually. I believe it's a jump to the future, so my character will be quite a bit older. That's all that I know. So I'm not coming back, which is a drag. I don't know much more than that."
