T3 Fansite to Return?!
Remember that time
between summer 2002 and summer 2003, when every top
movie site had T3 images plastered all over them, and tv
shows like Access Hollywood had countless
backstage interviews with cast and crew members of T3?
Well there was
also a top UK fansite, dedicated to T3 and everything
surrounding it. Equipped with a team of 5,
Terminator-3.co.uk served up the latest news on T3
daily, some days with 5+ new articles online.
Our Vice President
& news Editor, Paul Jackson, was part of the team
over at T-3.co.uk.
"Working at
T-3.co.uk was great. We had a great time posting news
all the time, it was fantastic. Because we were all such
big fans of Arnold & the Terminator series, it was
actually fun to run a website and post news about a
subject we were actually really interested in!
Although we only
started off small, by early 2003, we were one of the
biggest Terminator sites around. We were getting hits of
50,000+ per month! The online forum was a great success
too, it was packed with new topics everyday, and we
built up a great community. There were a lot of hardcore
fans there. Not just Arnold or Terminator fans, but fans of Nick Stahl and
Kristanna Loken, and those who just loved sci-fi movies too!
We had a good few
shining moments - most notably, getting a one-on-one
interview with T3 actor, Mark Famiglietti, who
played Scott Mason (Kate's boyfriend/the male T-X), and
getting press tickets to the T3 UK Premiere, standing
just feet away from the Terminator himself, and
presenting a fantastic video montage of it all!"
T-3.co.uk went
offline in September 2003, after almost a year of being
the top Terminator fansite on the web. T3 news had died
down and was practically silent, plus the movie had gone
from the cinemas. There was nothing left to do except
give a thumbs up whilst slipping into the molten steel
of termination...
But now here's
your chance to bring T-3.co.uk BACK!!
Whilst surfing the
web, I was checking a few old links, and
Terminator-3.co.uk came up. To my surprise there was
something there, something a little different to the
last time I checked, about 6 months ago....
