Basil Poledouris Passes Away

BASIL POLEDOURIS, composer & conductor of classic Arnold movies CONAN THE BARBARIAN & CONAN THE DESTROYER, has sadly passed away after losing his battle to cancer.

Aged just 61, Poledouris died on Wednesday at his Los Angeles home.

Basil was involved in many box office smashing movies, such as RoboCop, Free Willy, The Hunt For Red October and Red Dawn.

In all, he composed for more than 80 movies and tv shows. Last summer, Poledouris directed a concert version of the 1982 Conan score at a film music conference in Ubeda, Spain. A B.M.I. vice president says Poledouris considered the experience a career highlight.

Schwarzenegger is Conan, Cimmerian. He won't cry, so we cry for him.
