Family Arnold Attend 'YARD' Premiere!

California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his family stepped out for the premiere of the film 'The Longest Yard' in Hollywood on May 19, 2005.

As well as the Von-Schwarzenegger's, Adam Sandler and a team of Hollywood all-stars crammed the red carpet at Thursday's world premiere of new comedy, "The Longest Yard."

A remake of the 1974 Burt Reynolds favorite, the film — which opens May 27 — casts Sandler as Paul "Wrecking" Crewe, a former football superstar who ends up in prison and assigned the task of assembling a team of convicts.

Arriving at Grauman's Chinese Theater on Hollywood Boulevard, Sandler told Associated Press Television News that the new film would not be confused with the original.

"The first felt like an action movie ... like a Western, and it happened to make you laugh your a-- off, too," Sandler explained. "This (new) movie is a movie that we try to go hard on the comedy and there also happens to be an action-y, Western feel to it."

The remake of the classic 1974 film about a football player sent to prison also stars Burt Reynolds and Chris Rock and opens in the U.S. on May 27.
