Tarantino Wants Hollywood Action Stars!
Quentin Tarantino, acclaimed Hollywood director of such movies as Pulp Fiction, Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill, recently told UK film mag, Empire that he wanted the three Hollywood action giants, Schwarzenegger, Stallone and Willis, packed into one of his movies.
"My next film is probably going to be Inglorious Bastards," Tarantino told the magazine.”I've written scenes. I've written a lot of it, but now I have to sit down and start putting it together in a script that I can start shooting."
He's been pitching ideas for the World War II picture for a while now, but his last project, Kill Bill slowed down his progress. Tarantino has expressed an interest in having action icons Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger and even funny-man Adam Sandler take part in the film.
"I've said it once and I am going to say it again. I want Bruce, Sly and Arnold for my World War II epic. I've always dreamt of having these three superstars together in a movie. Initially, Inglorious Bastards was supposed to be in production way back in 1998 with these casts, but I shifted my attention to my other projects such as Kill Bill, Pulp Fiction and Sin City . And right now I think it's the best time to have them. I am very well free right now to focus on this big project that I have had in mind for quite a number of years. I am very well getting this into production this year for a 2006 release".
"Arnold is Governor and he has this movie coming up in 2006 called The Kid and I... so I hope he can make it for my movie too. We'll see. Maybe during the holidays. We'll shoot the movie quickly. It's possible."
The only person to have officially joined the Inglorious Bastards cast is Michael Madsen.
