See Arnold Run!

Arnold Schwarzenegger may have left the silver screen for now, but he is certainly not done with movies! No!

GlobalArnold.com can exclusively tell you of a new tele-movie by the A&E Network, entitled See Arnold Run, which will entail Schwarzenegger's rise to fame in the world of bodybuilding, acting and politics!

The project is scheduled to begin shooting next month in southern California and should be ready in late summer 2004, according to the cable network known for its ‘Biography' series.

Describing Schwarzenegger as "one of the most charismatic, recognisable figures on the political landscape today," A&E Senior Vice President of Programming Robert DeBitetto said: "In many ways an icon of the American dream, Schwarzenegger was driven to international stardom and success by an unwavering sense of ambition."

According to an article in The Hollywood Reporter, casting decisions by A&E would not be made until a script is completed, but it cited sources saying the network has a wish list of actors, including Dennis Quaid, Viggo Mortensen, Willem Dafoe and Billy Campbell.

But rumours are already a rife that A&E are in talks with German actor Jurgen Prochnow (actor of movies including Beverly Hills Cop II & Judge Dredd) to play the role of Arnold in the tv docudrama. The Hollywood Reporter says the cable channel has already cast Roland Kickinger (Son of the Beach) to play a younger version of Schwarzenegger in the film, most likely to be during his bodybuilding career. Still to be cast is Arnold 's wife, Maria Shriver.

Pronchow - I'll Be Back?

On the printing front, Simon & Schuster said it will publish a book by comic, Andy Borowitz, entitled "Governor Arnold: A Photo diary of Schwarzenegger's First 100 Days in Office."

Borowitz most recently wrote "Who Moved My Soap? A CEO's Guide to Surviving in Prison."
