No Oscars For T3, But A BAFTA?

The final Nominations for the 2004 Oscars are now in, and all eyes fall to the Visual Effects category, for which Terminator 3 was battling to be in, along with 6 other movies.

As you'll remember, we told you back in December that T3 was up for consideration along side The Hulk, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King, Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World, X2: X-Men United, Peter Pan and Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl.

Unfortunately, T3 didn't make it to the final round.

Over the last month, the Nominating Committee viewed fifteen-minute clip reels from each of the seven films in competition with one another.

They then picked 3 to be up for nomination at this years 76th Annual Academy Awards.

The finalists chosen, were:

The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King
Master And Commander: The Far Side Of The World
Pirates Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl


The Lord Of The Rings: The Return Of The King looks set to sweep the awards once again, with a staggering ten nominations.

But it's not all bad news! Terminator 3 has been nominated for a BAFTA, the British version of the Oscars.

T3 is up for the 'Best Film Of The Year Award', along with the followng movies: -

Bruce Almighty
Calendar Girls
Finding Nemo
Love Actually
Johnny English
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
X2: X-Men United
The Lord of the Rings: The Return Of The King
The Matrix Reloaded

The awards will take place on February 15th in the famous Leicester Square, London. So get voting now!
